Periantus Brightsail, who prefers the simple name of Peri, is a retired monster hunter known throughout the lands of Aphara. In this world, Peri has gone on many adventurers, fought many monsters, and made great friends. He currently runs the Snoring Dragon Inn and Tavern in the quaint town of Snaring Crossing within the Kingdom of Felnor.
He trained as a scribe before embarking on his travels, yet now is trained in the adventuring life. Now that his time in the Darklands has come to a close, he explores his memories and the stories he made, authoring them into books for you to read. His novels are rich in colorful characters, exciting combat, and witty comments as Peri tells his fantastic stories to anyone who might read.

In this collection of planned epic fantasy novels, Austin R. Powell edits the work of Peri as the retired hunter writes of his elaborate adventurers. In the series' debut novel The Phoenix of Light and Flame, Periantus Brightsail recounts his tale of becoming an adventurer with all the exciting happenings he experiences.
How did Austin R. Powell begin? Starting in high school in Denver CO, he has always enjoyed creative writing with a specific passion for science fiction and fantasy literature. He started a creative writing club and wrote many short stories lost in time. He finished his first science fiction novel as part of a writing contest. Since then, he has continued to write in various mediums, including research journals, TTRPGs, and more short stories. Over a decade later, Austin R. Powell discovered Periantus Brightsail and finally has a story worthy of bringing to you, our dear readers.
Austin Powell is never without his loving wife, his muse, and two daughters. He writes with the goal to be able to read his stories to his children one day and teach them what it means to be brave, wise, and of course how to love others in a world that can sometimes be hard.
